Description
Hey everyone,I started working on this image a few weeks back and over time it evolved into an image of awakening. I'm always telling my daughter that everything wakes up in springtime, watching the flowers and leaves bud in our back garden over the last month, so the image evolved in that direction. Herne the Hunter calling The Green Man out of his winter slumber - tendrils of his magic reaching toward The Green Man's heart. I can't count how many hours I've spent on it over the last few weeks, but the full image ended up being 10000px wide. It is a mixture of painting and elements of my own photography. Rather than go into a big explanation, I have posted a detailed walkthrough on my site here -

if anyone is interested in seeing how it evolved.
This was my original plate - a tree I was fascinated by, in whose branches I saw an ancient creature leaning over.

Anyway, thanks as always for taking time to look!
Phil
